Spector Archive - Basses made in Korea:

Every day's a school day... the original Legend5 with the Humbucker and Jazz pups and the B30 EQ preamp is scarce because they were only produced between 2004 and 2005, - a very short production run. These Legends became the current models with SSD pups and Tonepump Jr. Pre in 2006. Lots of models here I've never even heard of before. Probably worth hunting down some of these - bargains to be had, I'm sure.

Here.... have some more Spector GAS ;)
It's not quite up to date - some have left the fold and a few other lovelies have joined my collection but you get the drift....

Welcome to the Spector fold Mark , I love them , I have a legend 4 that I bought many moons ago and kept GASsing for Euro , I ordered one a couple of years ago and got the Euro 4LX 35 TW ,Czeck built , an absolutely beautiful bass to play ,and a stunning level of finish. I am sure you will eventually get to one and you will have the widest smile when you do .

Someone get a medical professional, this man's GAS rate is likely to go through the roof.

Too late, I think! Luckily I can't afford to acquire basses at cetera's level, but I'm going to need an upmarket Spector at some point!!

What's the difference between NS2 and NS4? They both look the same to me and both seem to have two pups
[/quote]

When Stuart Spector couldn't get his trademark back from Kramer when they went under he had to call them NS4's as Kramer owned the NS2 name.
Now he has all his trademarks back he can call the PJ loaded basses 'NS2's' and the twin humbucker loaded basses 'NS4's'.

He doesn't do two single coils a la Jazz?

OK thanks, Paul - let's try again... :)

This is a bass cover featuring the Spector Legend 5. Yes, I know there's a balls-up in it.
I've pasted the link into the OP as well.

He does, but generally only in limited runs. If you look at cetera's collection there is a white NS2J, Czech made bolt on neck j/j spector. I'd love to play one! There is also a drool worthy limited edition Czech made neck through 5 string j/j euro
In blue which is stunning!

Well played Mark, it takes some nuts to play over Bernard Edwards and post it in a bass players forum!!!
Not too shabby fella, and that Spector sits really nice in the mix...

Thanks for the kind comments... but when you put it like that... yes, what the hell was I thinking!!??

Great playing, great sound.
Iv'e had many basses before I got my first Spector.. which was also a Legend 5.
The GAS will never end! I now don't have my legend but I have a NS-5CR and a Euro5LX - and I'm still on the look out for more.
No going back for me I don't think! :P
