edited to add pics:

The history is, this was an original custom Iceni but the bloke who ordered it wanted everything to be as heavy as possible. Go figure.

I got Jon Shuker to make a body for it, but later took it back to Mike at Iceni to make another Iceni body for it, to keep it all Iceni

and a shot of it in action:

now then, the issue. The neck is as solid as rock, but if you look at the folowing pics you may notice the little spots which are apparently where neck bolts were put in too deeply or something.

This was done when John made the Shuker body, but was sorted out at the time. And it has been back to Mike who wouldn't let a dodgy bass escape with the Iceni name.

So all's pukka but I mention to be totally open.

Anything like a Musicman tone maybe? Any chance of a free absolutely no obligation to buy tryout at your place down the road from me?
Absolutely, you're always welcome for a cuppa and a chat! You can visit the Blitz too.

Where are you and can you post?
Thanks.

That London SW15. Could put it in a gig bag and post, but wouldn't be able to guarantee the condition it would arrive in.

Active and passive at the flick of a switch. Try before you buy in that London SW15/SW18 no obligation if it's not for you.

I've been taking it to rehearsals, and can assure you it is excellent for metal. :)

Any links to hear it please? Is it more suited to metal / heavy rock, or is it very versatile?
Although it can do metal mightily well, it is very versatile.

I'll have to have a search for clips.

Postage is very expensive.
Not really, it's £40 for postage and a decent gig bag, which considering the low price I'm offering the bass for is a bargain. You are welcome to buy the bass and collect in person for £299.99 case not included :)
