[s]Up for sale is my Musicman Bongo 5 Fretless HSp - Limited Edition 2005.[/s]

*SOLD*

The bass was made in 11.5.2005 and has a piezo pickup in the bridge (absolutely fantastic for fretless), one bridge humbucker and one single neck pickup. It's incredibly adaptable bass guitar and you can get a huge variety of sounds according to your needs and playing style!

The bass has minor signs of using, but there is almost unnoticeable and is in great condition.

I've been looking at this a lot! I'm looking for a 5-string fretless and that really would be just the ticket, I really liked my old Bongo V. I assume it's factory Fretless? Can you let me have string spacings, nut width etc? Any issues with string precariously close to the edge of the board which was s problem with some B5s? Any other issues?

Hello Chris,

Yes, it's factory fretless. You can check the serial number, if you want. String spacing is 11/16". Neck Width is 1-3/4" (44.5 mm) at nut 2-13/16" (71.4 mm) at last fret. Strings aren't precariously close to the edge of the board. I can make a picture, if you want. I had this problem with other bass guitars (five string Fenders typically), but not here. Bass is fine. Everything works great. The bass has minor signs of using, as I wrote in description. A few minor scratches on the head and one little on the body on the top side. I think that's normal. It is a 10 year old bass guitar. :)

We can discuss in private communication, if you want.

Cheers

Many thanks Memory. Whilst I'm extremely tempted, I've done as much reading on the model as I can and have come to the conclusion that I really do need to play one before buying! It goes without saying that there ain't a whole lot of fretless Bongo 5s in bass shops here! I'll give it some thought and see if I can find someone on here who's got one and is close enough to let me have a play.

Chris
