Maple/Rosewood Jazz neck with binding - SOLD
£75

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

This was part of a Jazz bitsa I was doing, but I've changed my mind on the type of neck I'm using so it's up for sale. It's a maple/rosewood neck with binding, ala 1966 Jazz basses. Very classy, and seemingly quite difficult to get hold of on the market.

This neck has never been installed, so is in excellent condition. It's got a tinted finish and as you can see in the pictures, the flame in the neck really pops out. The rosewood is nice and dark and all frets/truss etc are in great condition and working as they should. Binding looks great and tuner holes are 17.5mm so fit standard tuners.

The neck was modded to have neck bolts, which ensures a solid fit and is a much stronger connection than regular neck screws. I will include 4 bolts with the neck so that it can be fitted to any bass. Width at the heel is just about 63.5mm so will fit nicely with a Fender pocket. One minor issue is that it seems about 1-2mm taller than a Mighty Mite neck Ive also got, so it sits very slightly higher than a regular neck. Might mean you need to raise your bridge a tad, but other than that, no issues.

No idea where the neck was made. A guy was selling them on ebay a while back and he worked round the corner from me so I took a punt. Any questions, please ask. I took a few pics for your enjoyment. It's for sale for £75, plus a fiver for shipping, or can be collected in Lancaster.

Thanks all.
