The BB425X is a passive five-string PJ bass. The two control pots are master volume and tone. There is a three-position switch to choose which pickup: neck, both, or bridge. You can string either through the body or through the bridge. Currently strung through the bridge with Rotosound Swing Bass 45-130 roundwounds. This bass was purchased new in March, 2013. It is in very good condition: see photos, below. The bathroom scales weight is 4.7kg (10lb 6oz). Truckstop Posted December 18, 2014 Share Posted December 18, 2014 These are terrific basses. I've used a 424x for the last 18 months and have no GAS whatsoever. I haven't owned a 425 but I have played one a few times and I find the B absolutely fine. Not mindblowing but definitely good enough and punches well above it's price point!
