Sterling S.U.B Scratchplates

Afternoon all,

Does anyone know if a standard MM plate will fit one of these?. Last night I picked one up (gonna be my summer project), but the last owner sanded it for a matte effect and (generously) glued a thumb rest on it too. Hoping to order a new plate but don't want to order one that won't fit.

Cheers,

James

No idea, but I have three miscellaneous scratchplates off 'Ray-style basses, one of which might fit... I believe that none of them is actually from a Stingray, the seller couldn't enlighten me. Having just sold the bass I intended to use (one of) them for, I don' need them. I'll see if I can find them, and if you can send me detailed dimensions I'm happy to measure. I think they are all pearloid. PM me if you want to discuss this.

I bought one of these: http://www.ebay.co.u...s-/191222640452 , which is described as: "Pickguard for MUSIC MAN StingRay 4 Bass Guitar – designed to fit the classic 4 string StingRay models", and it fit my SBMM SUB Ray4.
