Addictive Drums + other MIDI Drum editing

I use EZDrummer 2 and tend to use a bit of both methods. In EZD2 you choose a drum kit with a range of presets rather than select a kit then add on the effects settings if you know what I mean. Bit of a pain as I'd much rather separate out the raw drum kits from the presets. I'll then select the "build multi-channel routing for output of selected FX" option in Reaper and it chucks each of the drum channels onto separate tracks. I can then pop any effects onto those individually. Mostly it'll be side-chain compressing between the kick drum and bass. If I want any overall ambiance/room effects that will affect the whole kit I find it easier to do that in the EZD interface.
