Supergroup ~ your dream line-ups please.

We've all contributed to threads about who our influences and favourite players are...but what about if you could put together a dream line-up of your all time favourite artists? This came up at a jam I had last week.

For instance, would it work if Nikki Sixx, Nuno Bettencourt, Dave Abbruzzese and Dave Grohl all got in a room together?

Much love

Stevie Wonder, Jeff Beck, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham.

Jeff guested on a few Stevie songs in the early 70s and Superstition came out of a jam of theirs.
Jeff and Stanley played together in the late 70s.
Stanley and Billy have played together a fair bit.

I think it would work pretty well.

Nah, that could never work, surely? :)

I actually remember suggesting to my cousin that the remaining members of The Who get together with the remaining Beatles to form Beatles Who? Daft idea but it could be an interesting experiment.

Actually, Macca and Clappers sounded pretty damn good together at the George Harrison Remembrance Concert. They should do some more stuff together - Clappers has toured/guested with each of the other 3 individually as well as The Beatles collectively.

When we were discussing this last week, our drummer suggested Portnoy and Patton in one such line up. Mike Patton is/was a great talent. Faith No More were great, but I dare say Mr Bungle were better.

Actually If it had to be a dream Bass night.

I would just watch Ron Carter. Solo alone,He has a great sound and tone

Have a lesson from Percy Jones (Technique),then Anthony Jackson (Soul),then Jean Baudin (For his Tapping skills)

I would jam with Yves Carbonne and Mick Karn.

Then play the next day with the Band Ive already chosen.

Bass: Ryan Martinie or Dirk Lance
Drums: Stewart Copeland
Guitar: Not too sure to be honest...
Vox: Brandon Boyd

It would be a rather interesting mix of genres but at the middle of it all they are slaves to the groove, the rhythm section that is, Brandons just the tightest singer live.
