It is confusing - 'flat' is actually in a different position on bass and treble. Not that it matters, as it's hard to get a bad sound out of it. The TonePump is highly underrated imho.

Indeed. The only problem I had with mine was that it lacked the (more recently added) trimpot. The output was just too damn hot!

Mine doesn't have the trimpot. It's a real beast and everything else seems a bit lame by comparison...

To be fair - Rachel Bolan and Mike Starr have been influential in the use and promotion of the Spector brand for many years. I would argue that over the years (after Sting) Gene Simmons and Eddie Jackson (Queensryche) have been more influential in their use though and deserve sig models more.... but Gene is too expensive (and has his own basses) and Eddie now uses Mike Lull's live....
