PRICE DROP TO £1500 +p&p

With tears in my eyes. I must let the best Warwick bass I've ever played find a new home.

Vintage 1993 Warwick Streamer Jimmy Earl Signature 5 string.

This is a rare beast. I know because it took me years to find one!

This Jimmy Earl Streamer combines elements of what we now know and love as the Stage 1 and Stage 2 and adds some lovely custom touches all of it's own. All hand crafted back then, with a sound, feel and neck to die for!

The spec;

Maple with wenge stringers. neck through body construction.

Maple fingerboard (this feels great to play on).

Swamp ash body wings

18v 3band push/ pull (active/ passive) MEC electronics

Stage2 narrow string spacing (awesome!)

Stage2 JJ pup configuration.

Creme with very fine sparkle paint job....

I'm off to cry some more and then I'll upload some pics of the bass.

Never knew this existed until I saw it in the bass Porn thread, haven't seen one since! Rare and awesome bass!

Cheers Kev!

Indeed it is a rare beauty. The lacquered neck and maple board on this Warwick feel fantastic. Dare I say I prefer this maple board to the usual Wenge.

I REALLY don't want to sell this but sometimes needs must.

Btw folks the dot markers are decals and are fully removable.

She's taken a couple of dings as pictured but they are purely cosmetic and just confirm she's a 22 year old player and not a glass case instrument. Cosmetics could be sorted at cost by my local luthier at cost but I personally like it as it is.

The neck is perfectly set and plays lovely. There are a few videos of this bass in action. I'll dig them out and put the links up soon.

No trades please. Cash only and serious offers considered. Thanks!

That's tasty! I really like the shiny black headstock against the gold hardware and the edge of the maple. Looks much classier than the usual matt black finish.

It's not a broadneck is it? :)

Love to hear how this sounds with the maple.

Hey mate.

Correct it's not a broadneck. Same string spacing and pickups as the SS2 5.

I'll dig out some video clips tomorrow and you can get a good idea of how this bass sounds.

Anyone who wants to check this bass out in person is welcome to do so. I'm based in Bristol.

Cheers!

Oh God, I remember this! Creme, gold and maple! It's absolutely astonishing and makes me go all funny just to look at it.
Yes, please post some clips, I need to know what this sounds like! Though I can only imagine it's stupendous.

Edit: Is there anything under the marker decals or is it a blind board?

Yea it's a blind board. But you do still have the mother of pearl edge markers if you need a quick reference. That said I've found the whole bass absolute second nature to play. Supremely comfortable. Everything sits just right. These vintage bases knock spots off all the later models no question. They just feel...organic? Difficult to explain.

Oh and yes it does sound every bit as good as it looks! ;)

Hope these are the right links. The last one is just a clip of Jimmy Earls chops. The guy is just incredible! Love the harmonic string taps!

Forgot to mention this bass comes with a nice Gator hard case and a second set of round wounds. Due to the hard case I'm very happy to post worldwide but it has to fully insured and a signature required upon delivery. Just ask me for a postal quote.

If anyone requires any other info just ask here or pm if money related. Thanks!

No worries, it's a shame you have to sell it and I would be well tempted to get it back if I had any cash to be honest.

Let's not forget that this bass is now only available through the custom shop and only in black at the ridiculous price of 7406,95 euros...

Maybe this one was yours at some time. I don't think many of these were made. Indeed she is a beauty and a lovely player. :)
