[/quote] I think that's the key here. Personally I would just start with something catchy and well known and give it a funky/blues arrangement. I've always wanted to play I Can't Go For That by Hall & Oates and Never Too Much by Luther Vandross. Both are already funky and would sound cool with some blues flavour! Anyhoo.
