Soul-Fi are an established 7 piece wedding/function band based in Glasgow. The band have wedding gigs lined up in 2015/16 & are currently represented by Hireaband & Coast Entertainments agencies in Scotland.

Due to the current bass player (me!) relocating for work, Soul-Fi now need a permanent replacement bass player.

The band plays a variety of styles & a big cross section of music including soul, funk, pop, disco, jazz, R&B.

The right player will be comfortable picking up an expanding setlist (130+ songs) quickly & efficiently, have a good rapport with the other musicians, have a great ear for music (reading not essential but may be an advantage), be able to improvise & think quickly on his/her feet. Significant live playing experience, good reliable gear (ideally PAT tested) & transport are essential (functions generally within 1-2 hours travel of Glasgow city centre).

Good availability for rehearsals & gigs & willingness to help in sourcing gigs/support pushing the band forward also required. The band rehearses weekly (generally Wednesday nights, 9-12) in Berkeley 2 studios.

Video/audio recordings of your playing will be required.

Please let me know if you are interested or please pass this on if you know someone who may be interested - Audutions will be held in April/May & we need someone to join right away!

Cheers,
Steve
