Easy Set Up Guide

I found a thread on here with a very simple and straight forward set up guide with cleve tips about measuring action height with allen keys.

I should have bookmarked it but didn't :( anyone know the one I mean ?

I need to do some work on my bass as it plays a bit like a dog

You're very welcome - glad things have come together better . . .

If it needs shimming - it needs shimming. . . a quick check I like to see is if the saddles, when adjusted all the way to the deck, are putting the strings lying on the frets or very nearly.

And they were, no shim required cheers! Really useful tip.

Took it all back and then started again, now set up as per the setting in the thread above and it's playing really well.

I think my issue is switching between a flat strung Jazz and rounds on a P
