Hi,

My band has started running a monthly jazz night at the Tooting Tram & Social on the first Sunday of every month. The first event was in early June, and we're now looking for bands to join us on future nights. My band is Velcro Pelmet, you'll find us at http://www.velcropelmet.com, on facebook etc - while we do a mix of our own tunes and some re-interpretations of jazz-rock classics, we're looking for anyone jazz-related to join us. In fact the more varied the line-up the better as far as we're concerned - acoustic, electric, vocal, instrumental, drop us a line if you're interested in joining the line-up.

We've got one slot available for the July 5th gig, and interested in hearing from more bands for ongoing gigs. Drop me a line!

ps. Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place - just wanted to maximise views!

By the way, also on the bill for July is Selectric, listen to them here: https://selectric.bandcamp.com/ "Like if Andrew W.K played with Charles Mingus" says their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/selectricmusic

Bump bump for a refreshed announcement for bands who want to play at Velcro Pelmet's jazz/fusion/generally eclectic night at the Tooting Tram & Social, usually the first Sunday of the month, sometimes the second (like the upcoming one). See my recent posts in the BassChat "Gigs" section for more info, and our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/VelcroPelmet for more general gist.

It's a paid gig, there's good kit at the venue, soundman provided and paid for, and they serve nice beer. Drop me a PM for details or if you're interested.

Another bump - the eagle-eyed among you will have seen from my recent post in the "Gigs" section that our Sunday night monthly residency has moved to Thursday nights. All other details remain the same! Jazz-rock-fusion kind of material, £3 to get in, nice beer, paid gig, close to the tube station.

If your band fancies appearing, drop me a line. Anything that you think fits the bill will be considered: instrumental rock, eclectic jazz, avant garde, etc
