olliedf89 Posted July 1, 2015 Share Posted July 1, 2015 Hello all. Last night after one song in rehearsals my bass completely died on me. I was planning on changing the battery and found the old one to be boiling hot when I did... Leads me to suspect that it is short circuiting somewhere. I've checked all possibilities that I'm able to do and it just won't work, not even in passive mode, though my tuner is detecting sound, its essentially not working. I've got a gig on the 11th and I really want to get it sorted by then. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tech local to Worthing/ Brighton or maybe point me in the direction of a self help guide? (Not that sort of self help guide!) Many thanks all! He did some electrical work on one of my basses a couple of years ago and I was very pleased with the result. Tried all possibilities including cables, batteries, amps, roadies, groupies etc but just nothing at all thus far, I'll try and nip into Brighton over the weekend!
