This is a very reluctant sale. I'm about to buy an original National resonator guitar and need to raise some funds.

This began as a standard Regal RD05 resonator bass but has since been massively improved by the following:

The cone has been replaced with a Beard Legend cone
The spider has been replaced by a Beard #14
The soundwell has been sanded flat and even
The saddle has been replaced with a maple one
A Lindy Fralin '51 Split coil tele bass pickup has been fitted, along with volume and tone controls
A strap peg has been fitted to the bass of the neck

All work was done by my local luthier. The bass has been set up with a lovely low action. Intonation is spot on. It's fitted with TI Jazz Flats and comes with a Kinsman hard case.

The bass is very light and comfortable to play. It weighs in at 6.5lb (3kg) on the kitchen scales.

I've used this in restaurants and other unplugged situations with a guitarist and cajon and it's been great. I really don't want to sell it after investing so much into it but i could really do with the cash right now. I'm after £550 ono collected from north Suffolk, or I can post.

A few people have asked me about the unplugged volume so I've done a quick video playing this and then my Martin acoustic to try and give an idea:
