I have to sell my Fullerton 62 Reissue Jazz Bass. I assume that everyone knows the story behind them. I acquired this one from the first owner - a studio musician, who bought it new in 1984 and played the hell out of it for 30 years. So it looks like a relic but this is actual wear from years of playng.

The bass is completely original down to every last screw as can be seen in the photos and comes with the original case (case the plastic fender logoed one for the European market, which is battered but still the original case) and all case candy - string mutes, covers, thumb rest, lifetime guarantee, etc. As far as conditionwse all the electronics work, truss rod works, there is plenty of life left in the frets - they could use a little crowning but I never bothered. One small part of the upper layer pickguard is missing clouse to the lower horn, also the E tuner cloverleaf is bent, but since the stem is straight this can be easily be fixed. The verious dings, dents and chips can be seen in the album bellow.

More detailed photos can be found here : https://picasaweb.go...feat=directlink

This is the best Jazz I have owned - and I have owned lot of recent ones, JV's, a 66, a 69, a 75 and a 78, and the Fullerton blows them all away in terms of sound and feel - its just like a really good pre-CBS. The neck is super slim and super comfortable - this is no surpeise as the stamp shows it has been shaped by Herb Gastelum who is consider the magician of Fender necks, he also worked in the custom shop after its formation.

If further details or photos are needed I am more than happy to provide them along with a video / sound test of the bass.

Shipping to the UK is included in the price, for other countries please ask. I will ship from Bulgaria so there will be no import taxes for EU buyers. My feedback can be found here : http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2610067

TRADES : I am interested only in vintage or vintage reissue precisions with alder bodies and wide necks, cash adjustment possible both ways.

I have this same model; they really are superb.

Fullerton History: (from a Fullerton Strat ad)

1982 fullerton factory fender '62 reissue stratocaster. serial #V000410, making it one of the earliest known fullerton factory pieces. neck dates to '82 although a little faded because of the pencil numbering, confirming this. for those less familiar with the fullerton factory, it was fender's first return to the pre-cbs leo fender era of making guitars. these are known as some of the best instrument fender produced since '64. built on the pre-cbs machines to vintage spec by master technicians, these instruments play like butter and sound as close as you'll get to a legitimate pre-cbs fender. not to mention, this neck is stamped "J. Torres", one of the most famous fender neck builders ever. just google "j torres fender" and see what people have to say about the quality of his necks.

GLWTS, Paul.

Hi, is it still available? I am writing in behalf a friend of mine that is really interested to this bass.
He is proposing a trade with a gorgeous Music Man Stingray '77, fully original.
Let me know in case I will put you in contact and then you can proceed with the deal.
Cheers
