flats on my jazz

Aye, flats are wonderful sounding - kind of smoother yet punchy at the same time. I'm actually using La-Bella black nylon flats now and they're a dream. Given I play in a prog/metal band perhaps not the obvious choice but they just cut through the mix wonderfully and the tone really compliments the harsher sounds of the driven guitars.

I put nylon LaBellas on my no-name jazz copy a couple of weeks ago, and had to take them off, because they take all the snarl out of it. I like the lack of finger noise, but there seems little point if it doesn't make a noise I like. Flats on a P-type, yes :) I think I need to try some half-rounds, see i I can keep the snarl but reduce the finger noise.
