Are Fender Japan back?

Fender Japan have never stopped producing but because they tend to be produced "under license" rather than by fender themselves, there's certain restrictions as to who can distribute them (and in turn, where they tend to be retailed).

You can still order them direct from Japan using the rakuten site as well as other online retailers. They nearly always come with great hardware and pickups but oddly need the wiring, pots and sockets etc upgrading.

A friend of mine lives in Tokyo and often tells me of the wonderful goodies he spots in stores over there.
