As above really, am looking for similar tones to Rotosound Steel Rounds, but with a longer life. Currently using D`Addario Pro-Steels and whilst I love the tone of them soloed, they`re a bit too scooped in the mix, so looking for strings with more prominent mids.

I've been very impressed with Picato's stainless steel round wounds. £15.99 from Strings Direct...

Been using them for the last four or five years and would still be doing so had I not been tempted to dabble in the dark (flat) side over the last couple of months. I found them to be consistent and long lasting (tho I suspect my playing style isn't as punishing as punk with a pick). I thought they had a good top end/upper mid presence without being overly zingy or pingy, esp when they'd had a couple of uses to play in. If flats don't work out for me in the long run it will e them I will be heading back to.
