Fake expression pedal

Can anybody help me figure out a way to simulate an expression pedal?
I recently tried the moog mf boost with my bass rig and I really liked what it did to my tone. Without doubt the most subtle pedal I've ever used. But I loved what it did.

It seems however, that I can get an extra 9 db of gain from it using an expression pedal. But I don't want the pedal on my boars, so I'm trying to figure out a way to simulate a fully open, heel up expression pedal.
If I can figure out a way to do this, I may have to purchase one this week :)
Any help?

It should be possible to take a standard TRS/stereo jack plug and wire up a resistor inside the plug housing to simulate the expression pedal at maximum. You would need to know the value of pot used in the expression pedal and which terminals go to which pins of the pot. Anyone with some soldering ability could make this up in a couple of minutes.

im a complete novice when it comes to electronics. I believe the pedal im trying to emulate is a 20K ohm pot.... does this mean I need a 20k resistor?

and how is this different fro having an infinite ohm resistor... ie no cable...

would It make sense that I may need no resistor at all, just join the wires together?
