Phil Adams Posted February 1, 2016 Share Posted February 1, 2016 After leaving it in it's gig bag for some months, I decided to try to "bond" with my 5 string yesterday. I was rather surprised to find the D string flapping loose. Refitted it and tuned it, started merrily noodling away and there was a clunk and the D string was once again flapping loose. The bridge is bent and cracked. Having googled it, it seems a common problem, but the body of the bass is recessed by a couple of mm, and that suggests that it will need to be a specific bridge to keep the string height correct. The stock bridge appears to be an Accu-Cast B125. Anybody repaced a bridge on an SR with something different??? Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
