Blind Faith - Had To Cry Today

Hi folks.

I can get the main riff, but having a bit of trouble following the bass line during ;

"It's already written that today will be one to remember" (first verse?)

and;

"Had to cry today" (second verse?)

Apologies if I'm not explaining it very well, hopefully someone will understand.

Any tips or advice please?

Watch this vid. you get some good shots of Rik Gretch and Clapton so's you can see the chords as well as the bass which is more than I could on the day.

Can't say I agree, here; he looks mighty bored to me. Not a great fan of his at the best of times since Fresh Cream and Disraeli Gears, and him being, by all accounts, a bit of a swine (I wouldn't know personally, though...) doesn't incite me to appreciate his style.

And yes, I was there, that day, in the park, although it's difficult to see me for all the bare-breasted ladies and shaking freaks that steal the camera at these occasions. A good day, in general. Richie Havens was brilliant.
