New (old), piano day.

So last Thursday was new fretless 6 string Roscoe day. It was also new (old) piano day. I've wanted an upright piano for as long as I can remember.

I found a guy selling one on eBay just 5 miles away from where I live, and he was offering delivery. So I bid, and won it for £2 :). It's rather old, and has character :). But I love it.

I was unfortunately unable to get it upstairs to where I have my studio set up, so it's downstairs, meaning I can only record late at night after everyone else has gone to bed.

However, I'm very pleased with the results https://soundcloud.com/an-ending-ascend/19a/comment-280188406

I'm recording it using the built in mic in my Apogee, then adding reverb and delay in Logic Pro.

I think sometimes, there's the temptation to play too many notes in stuff, I guess also, you can play too few ? Here I think I've got it about right, especially given some of the comments that have been left.
