I got this in a trade recently but really don't have much use for it and so it has to go.

JC-50 in great condition. The only real reference I can find to its age by serial number is on here

A sterling Basschatter has now pointed out that it was made in May 1984.

Everything works as it should, although the chorus (sounds great and swirly) doesn't seem to be very intense? Maybe that's how it should be? I really don't know.

It's very loud for a 50w and very portable. Great vintage guitar combo.

Manufactured in May 1984. The first two digits of the serial number indicate month of manufacture starting from August 1972 (01). The numbers wrapped in November 1980, and started again at 00. When they reached 99 a second time, Roland instituted a different serial number scheme. The last four digits indicate the total number of units made at that point, so your JC50 was the 2341st one to roll off the production line.
