SOLD Labella James Jamerson Flatwound Strings
£25

Recommended Posts

I have a set of James Jamerson Flats, got them new from Bass Direct a few weeks back, played them at one short practice and got scared and put the roundwounds back on!!

These do sound and feel incredible, old-school thump for days!! The strings are pretty much unplayed and cut for a standard Fender Precision \ Jazz. I got them put on in the store so don't have the box.

Looking for £25 including postage.

Here is some Blurb from the internet..

The 0760M 1954 Original set are the big ones as used on countless Motown records. There is probably no thumpier, fatter bass sound than the 0760M - the strings used by James Jamerson and Donald 'Duck' Dunn.
The 0760M set was used on virtually every Motown gold record in the 1960s. Donald “Duck“ Dunn used the same strings on countless recordings with Otis Redding and Booker T. & the MG’s. They’re the fullest and deepest sounding bass strings ever made.
For ultimate FAT THUMP these are the real deal made just like they made in 1954. Please note these strings are higher tension than most others.
Unlike roundwounds, flatwounds tend to get better with age and a single set can last years.
Since the 50s and 60s, La Bella’s DEEP TALKIN’ BASS Stainless Steel Flat Wounds have been the choice of professional bass players and continue to be the best-selling Flat Wounds on the market.
This particular set is NOT suitable for through-body basses.
All La Bella Bass Strings are HANDMADE in the USA with American Wire.
