1 Mo Clifton "Frequent Flyer" Bass - with David Gage Realist Pickup Second Hand, full working order and a lot of history

In the pictures you will see Macy. Macy has been my ride or die bitch for years now.
I called her Macy because, Like Mace Windu, she's very powerful...

She has literally done hundreds of gigs all over the world, indoors and outdoors, and all sorts of crazy weather
This bass has a history, and so you are buying a collectors item which is fully playable
But I got a Yamaha SLB 200, and I'm going forward with that...
So, clearing out the old to make way for ... the unknown!
But I do want her to have a good home

This deal comes with not one but THREE padded cases!
Why?
One for international travel ( The bass packs down into carry on luggage, that was the main reason I bought it, I was doing a LOT of international work at the time ) and two padded bags for road travel ( I added the second bag for extra protection and storage )

It's ready to play and takes about 5 minutes to pack down for flight, and 15 minutes to set up

It would most likely suit a bass guitarist that wants to make a gentle transfer for upright bass playing

Retail prIce was £1100 plus £400 for the case

I'm saying 977 for the lot. Collection only. Delivery extra. Buy pays delivery.

To put this in perspective; I was asked to endorse Stagg EUBs and I rejected the offer, because , although the design is great, the instruments were made too cheaply, and three instruments fell apart and / or malfunctioned during quite normal transit and operation. The Staggs cost £300 - £350. I've had this instrument for almost 10 years, and done gigs in over 20 countries, breaking the instrument down and setting it back up for each flight. [i][b] That's [/b][/i]durability. I am going to miss her.

Yup. Twas me. Playing my new(ish) Yamaha SLB200. Glad you enjoyed! We have not been in Bristol for a while, so it was great to be back. Lovely audience!

I had the "standard" model Clifton bass a while back and I loved it, I think that bass with a Fishman Full Circle pickup would be quite something. Unfortunately, the bridge was not collapsible and it coincided with me doing an incredible amount of international touring, so it had to go.... #whenairlinesplaybasketballwithyourbass

Wish I'd caught the gig - I did some playing at the Bristol do....thanks for the supports, not as elegant as the wooden versions, but I guess this is all about the weight and portability...if I had the cash...

Yeah for sure. The one I had before was a real work of art. Model 075 is a real ride or die, rough and tumble instrument - she'll take a licking and keep on ticking!
I was doing a lot of festival gigs where we were going straight form the airport to the stage, so the quick no-fuss set up was invaluable...
