1971 Fender Precision maple fretless neck only £420

A rare neck in very good condition. The green neck stemp is faded, but the last digits 03 71 B are readable.

This neck came from a Precison with 3140XX serial and 71 pot codes. I put a fretted rosewood neck on it, so the fretless neck can go.

It looks like it has been played mostly with flat wounds, there are no strong marks on the clear poly finish of the fingerboard, just very light ones. I cleaned it and gave it a very light polishing job, the condition is very flat and even without the usual string marks.

The trussrod works fine, the back of the neck is perfect with no marks.

The sound is a bit brighter compared to the usual rosewood fretless boards, even slapping sounds good.
