I want to get a set of pickup covers to cover the pole pieces (EMG look) on my MIJ jazz as my slap technique is a little aggressive and I keep hitting the string on the pole piece when I catch it with my palm, makes a god awful noise and I'm guessing if I covered the pole piece this wouldn't be a problem? I tried lowering the neck pickup but it sounded crap, so i think covered pickups is the next thing to try. Not being remotely technical, is it easy to replace the existing covers if I did manage to find a set?
