Marking and cutting frets on a neck

Hi
I have been I have building a bass lately and have done everything now execpt the frets, i cant work out how to measure where to mark the frets as the sides are at angels, can you suggest anything please? I dont have the time or the money to buy a marking tool thats slots are already marked out.

Have a look at ProjectGuitar.com They have a fret finder app that will calculate your fret positions for you and produce a pdf template if you want. There are also lots of build diaries with plenty of pictures (including the Telecaster guitar I'm building) - where lots of people have cut their fret slots using various techniques

Do you mean they are heavenly beings? That the sides of the neck aren't 90 degrees to the edge of the fretboard? Or that the scale length is "angled" e.g. like the Dingwall / Novax "fanned fret" system?

I'd recommend a template sized and slotted to the desired scale or scales - the simplest I've seen is the "mitre box" style:
