This bass would have been mine, had you not purchased it a day before I planned to go Bass Direct! I walked home with an NG-2 instead, saved me cash at the time but it was an Afterburner I wanted really!

In the interests of clarity, it had been rewired - In fact, it was a system I set up that is essentially what Sheldon used to put in to his D-Bird prototype!

You'll be pleased to hear that the bass has been returned to stock with the original switch having been replaced back in to the bass.

Also, the nut had been set up for an F# tuning, but a new nut has been put in so the bass is back at standard tuning.

Everything else is as you'd expect - Glockenklang preamp, the wonderful P Tone pickup in the neck position and the standard FD3 pickups in the other.

Because the bass has been changed and returned to stock, I totally understand that this should also affect the value - and for that reason, I have set the price accordingly.

Nyargh! I've just dented the underside of the body by accident. A small dent less than a 5 pence piece. Will get some photos done when I have some natural light.

EDIT - here it is:

I think their main drive is towards 5s and 6s, but it's often overlooked what fantastic 4s they make, too. My black 'n maple ABZ4's going absolutely nowhere...sorry Karl ;)

This is a bazzer, too...there just aren't enough yellow basses in the world...and the P-Tone pickup is terrific.. :)

Why does every gorgeous Dingwall that comes up have to be a 5 :(
Because it's one more betterer! he he!!

A more sensible answer! :) Thank you. Yes, the P Tone pickup is a great unit for sure!

It's likely that I am going to pick up a P bass for some work I have up and coming. I'm shortlisting things with chunky maple necks and looking at budget, though there is a bass or two I have my eye on right now so I am open to quick sales on this one.

Drop me a line.

I reckon this is a 2015 model, bud. You bought this very shortly after Bass Direct took delivery from Canada last year.
Now you mention it, yes that's completely logical! It must be a 2015!

Dam if only I hadn't put a deposit on another ng2 I'd have snapped this up and I'm only 5 mile away glwts mate ...

Nyargh lol! Yes, just down the road from me! I guess you wouldn't have the option of cancelling unless it's within a normal 14 day cool off (I guess that still applies).

I've had the odd message asking why the price is low - well, it's because of the nut and electronics having been swapped and of course that little ding which has really cheesed me off! Other than that it is quite the perfect bass.. That I have to sell. Either that or something else will have to go. :(

Well, my offer still stands, but You already declined. :D

Anyway, great bass, GLWTS. :)
Thank you it was a great offer, but I'm not looking for a Warwick bass, though it looks cool! I will have a think about trades though cash will win me over faster as needs must right now.
