Wil Posted July 12, 2007 Share Posted July 12, 2007 I fancy a Dano DC like the one Fat Mike from NOFX uses. Hate the longhorn shape, but the DC is nice! Never seen one for sale though, think they are mostly rare as not sure if they were reissued. Musky Posted July 12, 2007 Share Posted July 12, 2007 They were known as 'tic tac' basses in the sixties, which pretty much clues you in what kind of sound to expect. I think Entwhistle used early on in The Who. I've never played one, but always had a bit of a hankering to try - I'm just not prepared to shell out for the kind of money they usually change hands for on a bit of a whim. I remember Bassist did give the DC favourable review though, saying the distinctive tones might make it worth having as a second bass. Posted July 13, 2007 Share Posted July 13, 2007 Yea i like the DCs too, but cant stand the longhorns, they remind me of vikings... from what ive heard i like the sound, bit trebly if i remember right... not played one though so can't really say...
