Not that I want to deliberately elbow ahead of the 9-page discussion on "Let's define cover band" (tip: it's a band that plays mostly or exclusively cover songs - there you go, job done :D). But...

Perhaps we need a "Basschat Covers Competition" with real cash prizes...

You know I have toyed with the idea of a covers competition one month, just as a brief departure from the regular challenge :)

It may yet happen... although the ca$h prize is likely to be a little more conceptual in nature.

...soon to be on parity with GB Pounds Sterling.

No, thank YOU! I won't have to have a little cry now for getting no votes on my first go, and it's all thanks to you. I love you man!

Voted :) Some really nice atmospheric ones this month. I went for the ones that summed up the feeling of being there the most. And I was actually there! So thanks to you all for putting out some really nice sounds to what is my favourite photo that I've ever taken. Cheers!

I had a comment that the words in my tune weren't discernible enough to make out the meaning, so this is more or less what I sang:

Air is thin, got a lot of u.v.
Drops on my head on my hypo-t
(It’s) What I need for my s.a.d.
Got to get my D

Sun beams down like a sheet of rain
Mood lighting lightens then we’re in the game
Traces of the dark might still remain, but
D gets to work on my bones and brain

Hope you don't mind!
Cheers
MBA

Thanks guys! I'm honoured as always.

And well done to everyone who entered. It really is the taking part that counts in these challenges. Not that Dad's certificates aren't highly prized and sought after, of course! :D (I've sold all of my previous ones on eBay... but don't tell him).

I'll kick-start this month's challenge sometime today... watch this space.
