Jeremy Davis- Paramore

Recommended Posts

He is a great player that we do not hear much about on this site? I wonder if the complications of the band with him coming and going (I did not realise he had left again until just now) has held him back as a known player in some ways?

I nice example of his work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3Rdc7T98xM

He can rock and slap and do gospel stuff, pop and funky, versatile player.

I took my daughter to see them a few years ago and was impressed. He had a good tone live and was pretty tight. Some interesting on-stage acrobatics as I recall too 😊 https://youtu.be/5TT0YLSa9qw

Not too aware of them other than the odd song but 'Ain't it Fun' is a great track with a super cool bassline. Someone did a great cover on YouTube which is the only reason I've heard it...

Edit, no idea if that bass part was written by this guy?!

I suspect that because they are a very young group and this is quite an old averaged crowd. They certainly weren't taken very seriously to start as they were very much a teeny group and looked down on for that.

I think they have always been good, and getting better in quite a lot of ways.

Having said that, I have known about them for a long time but never knew what the bass players name was!

Oh yes, she is in the charts as a guest vocalist for another artist at the moment I think too. She can belt it out and get the crowd going!

It's this one, it's a cracking tune.

The step daughters are both fans so I've seen them live a bunch of times and they've always been fantastic. Good musicianship, energetic performance and songs stacked with hooks. Don't forsee much of a future for them though. With only two full time band members left, I think it's "inevitable solo career" time for Hayley Williams.

From what I gather, the band being treated as a Hayley Williams solo career by both herself and Label/representatives is the main reason for most of them leaving, could be wrong though of course.

Still, I really like their first couple of albums, not heard much of there more recent stuff.
Saw them at reading a few years back and they were okay 😬

'Fences' is a personal favourite with a really nice walking style bass line 😬
