This has not helped my GAS for a stingray at all, but does anyone else get p*ssed off that MusicMan wont do any decent options on basses for the general public, but almost every artist I have seen on their Instagram and facebook page seems to have custom options on basses!! For example, classic stingray hardware in black, roasted maple neck on natural body and dual pickups as per Tim Commerfords bass. I saw a Classic stingray the other day that had contours as well with a roasted maple neck, and a classic stingray with ebony board. As much as the Barefaced stuff likely sounds a lot better, there's not many cabs as well built as those old Ampeg units, and they are UNITS! [/quote] Wakrat are currently touring as the support band for prophets of rage so I'd imagine he's using the same rig for both. perhaps his roadies have done something wrong and he's punishing them by making them lug those ampeg cabs around for a few weeks 😂 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

[/quote] well, they did go a little into the amps/cabs too. He didn't mention BF at all, and showed a lot of love for the ultra heavy Ampeg ones. In fact he went as far as saying he is looking for another Ampeg 210 (I forget the particular model) and encouraged people to let him know if they knew where one was available... [/quote] I think it's more likely that the super heavy Ampeg stuff is just more suited to touring, in fact its probably more suited to touring than most gear out there. The BF stuff is famed for their lightweight, which isn't usually something that goes well with nightly abuse from roadies. He's also used the Ampeg stuff a lot for a long long time, so I expect it's a known entity. I'm sure we'll see the BF stuff again.
