I recently acquired this, and was blown away by how well it played. I vowed as always, it would be a keeper....

However, circumstances outside my control have forced my hand on this and as a result, this is now up for sale. I have had to undertake some emergency works on my house, as well as reconfigure my rig to suit my new band.


It is a 2003 Mexican Classic series jazz bass in lovely sunburst. Please note this is the poly finish NOT the nitro on later models. It has the longer shaft reverse tuners and the oh so retro threaded brass saddles on the bridge. It has a VERY vintage sound for a jazz, its not your usual "honky" jazz tone that the 70's jazzes are know for... You can almost coax a precision tone out of it with the neck pickup and some tone rolled off. DOES need some new strings though!

I have tried to show as best I can the marks in the finish, it is in pretty good condition for a 13 year old bass (if you would like any other pics taken, please just ask. Comes with a battered gig bag (it came with the bass so don't condemn me!!)

Bass is located in Warrington, but can look to meet up within reason. No postage on this, sorry but I jus don't have time to organise this right now.

Only trades I am looking for are Musicman Stingray 5, Gallien Kueger Fusion 550 or MB200 (cash correction either way)

Price temporarily dropped to £420

Open to reasonable offers and potential trades for bass/amps as long as there is cash my way
