With due thanks to the hard work put in by Funkgod I can announce the inaugural

NORTH WEST BASS BASH will take place on Sunday 12th February 2017 from 12.00 until latest 6.00
Whitby Sports and Social Club
Dunkirk Lane
Chester Road
Ellesmere Port
CH65 6QF

The initial outline is as follows so any input and ideas are most welcome. there have been some great ideas and a considerable level of interest in the discussion thread so now is the time to put your name on the list .

Sunday12th of Feb. from 12.00 and up to 6.00,

1, Hot food to order
2, big room
3, stage
4 bar
5, seating area.
6, free parking right out side
7, small pa.
8, ( i can if needed provide a larger pa if needed)
9, easy to get too by cheshire oaks. post code = CH65 6QF.

phone number, contact details and map....
http://www.whitbyclu...tact/4570950131

Costs per head will get sorted in due course, but to cover the room they will be minimal but we could possible negotiate flowing teas/ coffees and maybe a jam butty each for a few pennies extra , but that is a bonus one to look forward to :D

Thread wise , I will start a list in a new post and if you would be so kind as to add your name to the list by copy/paste or if on a mobile just add your intention to come, then the next person, myself (or anyone who wants to) can tidy it up as we go along .

I am really looking forward to it already :D

Josie with probably three GMRs (two 5s and a fretless 4) (and/or two non-standard Fender Jazzes - how to decide? :) ) and definitely cake.

Can we enforce the "no exposed belt buckles, no metal buttons and no zips" protocol?

I suppose in the spirit of a BC Bass bash then yes , we should be a BC get together , If however there is someone who has the potential of some quality input then I don't see why not , just not a free for all I guess.

Hoping by this time to have an original batwing Aria SB-1000 to bring, will have a heavily modded Nate Mendel Fender.

Contenders also include a graphite necked peavey 5 and a few pedals.

I've nothing interesting amp wise but I'll bring a 79 Musicman Stingray to sit with funkgods 79 sabre and a 68 Fender Mustang.

Can also bring my Stagg Electric Upright (with a decent set of strings on) if anyone is interested as there seems to be a lot of curiosity about these from 1st timers to upright bass ? There may even be someone there who can play it

Line 6 G-30 wireless if any body wants to try before they buy as well ? Will also chuck the Berhinger BDI 21 in just in case anyone is an unbeliever in this sub 25 quid piece of marvelousness.
I play in a cover band for money, so anything I post about bands is coming from the viewpoint of a cover band that plays for money.

I don't do big amps and expensive basses, but I'll chuck a BB-1X and a Smooth Hound in the boot if anyone's interested.
