Some of us live REALLY far away from any decent set up bods. Would anyone know of a good local set up bod who would come in and charge individuals by the hour to do setups? We could book basses in beforehand.
Double Bass, it's an airfix kit waiting to happen.

To take Owen's query one step further - even someone who could run a shortish workshop to cover the basics of set up to enable us to do our own perhaps? I always think having the ability to set up your own instrument as you'd want enhances your playing ability nearly as much as musical knowledge.

I know in a previous thread we said we're keeping this in house rather than public but is it ok to bring a bass playing mate who isn't on here ?

I only ask as when I mentioned it to my girlfriend she immediately went on youtube to learn how to tie a noose for herself so she didn't have to come.
I play in a cover band for money, so anything I post about bands is coming from the viewpoint of a cover band that plays for money.

I am sure he could sign up to BC Les , it would certainly help to keep things ship shape so to speak and would also keep the event in house.

Anyone bringing anything to sell? Should I bring pocket money?

If anyone falls in love with my 1992 MIA Fender Jazz Plus 5 I could be persuaded to let it go. It's a fine beast, but we just don't suit each other somehow.

I am toying with selling my fabulous Dingwall ABZ5... a great instrument but I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that perhaps it stylistically doesn't suit my playing style.

I have a bitsa Goofellow neck/Shuker Body which much as I like it it just does not get used so I will probably bring that and offer it for sale if anyone fancies it.
Double Bass, it's an airfix kit waiting to happen.
