Ashdown MiBass 2.0 1x10 Combo question

Hi all,

A mate has offered me his Mibass combo as a swap for a pedal I don't use. i reckon I'm up on the deal by far!
I love this little thing and I think it will make a great rehearsal amp.

Only trouble is i'm now keen on the idea of adding a second cab and I have found a MiBass 10 cab on sale at a nearby (relatively) music store - really cheap too.
Trouble is, it definitely says 4ohm impedance on the back of the extension cab.

I'm sure the combo's speaker is 8ohms, or am I wrong here?

Would it work? Anyone here have any experience of adding a second Mibass cab to their combo?

Any help appreciated :)

Col

I've got the MiBass 2.0 head and 2 Mi10 cabs.
There's been some confusion on the combos and cabs, I have heard that some were labeled incorrectly.
I'd give Ashdown a shout with the serial number and they should be able to confirm or deny its alleged Ohmage.
If it is 4 ohm and you REALLy want to add an external cab, Ashdown off the best customer service so I'm sure they would be able to advise on what your options are, maybe replacing the speaker with a suitable 8 ohm version?

Hope that helps mate!

Weren't the MiBass ones the ones that connected external speakers in series?

I think that might be the Little Giant ones. The MiBass 2.0 head has 2 speaker outs on it.
