Looking to buy a fully carved, 4 string, German Double Bass £1

Any members looking to sell a German, fully carved double bass?

Ideally within 100 miles of Lincoln, but would travel if it was the right bass.

Willing to pay a reasonable amount, but I am only an amateur player!

It depends on your budget?...and your requirement?

If you're on a smaller budget, I may be placing an ad on this forum for my back-up DB (Mods - I hope this isn't breaking a rule?)

Advice I would give any prospective buyer is that you have to be prepared to travel for the right purchase even if you don't complete a transaction. Indeed, that is for anything DB related: lessons, Workshops, live entertainment etc.

I've bought two double basses from Ben at thedoublebassroom.com and would definitely recommend a trip - I haven't found anyone else who has that kind of selection of 'proper' basses in that price range.

Just to repeat what Phil Parker has said. I was lucky enough to buy my dream bass from Ben Packham, I can honestly say that it was a pleasure for me to part with my hard earned. He always seems to have some great basses In the "shop" and he will let you play them all. If your lucky, one of them will speak to you
