Lowest lows of bass pickups

I have been doing a bit of experimentation with pickups would be curious to know if anyone has done much research on which design of electromagnetic pickups produce the greatest amount of low end (before eq is applied)?

How low can they go?

Pickup position is a significant factor as well. Have a play with this app and test a few positions and multiple pickup combinations etc. Switch on the 'fundamental frequency marker' as a reference point.

That's a fascinating app, thanks for posting it. I've long been aware of the phenomenon but too lazy to do the maths. I'll add this to my favourites. I hope you don't mind but I'm going to put it onto another thread I started as it is highly relevant. thanks again.
