bubinga5 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) Apart from the guys amazing talent on the bass and his music. I really dig this six string. At first i thought it was an Ibanez, but I'm not sure. Maybe a custom Ibanez semi acoustic.?. Is it an Artcore.? BassApprentice Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 From a quick google seems to be an Ibanez but not available for plebs like us. Looks cool as hell but not for me Quote
Cato Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 It's a custom build from their California custom shop for famous persons. There's been a lot of demand for Ibanez to release a signature model available to Joe Public, but so far as I know they're still resisting. I did see some footage of one of his basses from the NAMM show last year & in the hands of anyone who isn't Thundercat it looked absolutely massive, so possibly Ibanez are thinking that might limit demand? franzbassist Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) I guess the Artcore is the closest commercially available bass, at least in terms of body shape and size... Edited February 2, 2017 by walbassist Quote
franzbassist Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Reminds me of Patituci's Yamaha acoustic 6. Quote

visog Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 We've had a thread on this: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/258272-semi-acoustic-sixes/page__p__2752507__hl__thundercat__fromsearch__1#entry2752507 And moreover it was located properly under Bass Guitars. No worse a crime than failing to post in the relevant category. Quote
Heathy Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 He's rather good isn't he. What album(s) would you recommend? Quote
