Kye Posted February 7, 2017 Share Posted February 7, 2017 Hello, been eyeing up the Nordstrand pickups and I'm in two minds which to get. I stumbled upon Nordstrand after really wanting to fit a set of FD3s into my Spector and saw they make then on behalf of Dingwall. I was pretty much set on the Dingwall FD3s as I am after nice punchy modern hard rock/metal tone, but saw Nordstrands other offerings and can't decide! I currently have the stock pickups in my Spector Rebop ( EMG HZ ) and I feel as they are a bit too clinical? I'll make it clear I do love the sound of Dingwalls, so naturally I thought sticking in the FD3 would be a no brainer, but I'm open to suggestions of the other offerings! Cheers! paulo m Posted February 14, 2017 Share Posted February 14, 2017 Nj4 will give you the Classic Single Coil Sound....Clear & Smooth from top to bottom....just excellent Nj4se is a Hum Cancelling'Hum Bucking' take on a Single Coil...More Mids & Beef...but muted high's.... It doesnt matter which Nordstrand Pickup you choose These are Stellar Pieces of Sound Equipment!!! & use in conjuction with John East's amazing on board jazz bass preamp...
