Building my first pedalboard

I play mostly power pop originals stuff and I'm slowly building up a pedalboard. So far, I've acquired the following:

- Pedaltrain Novo 18 (pedalboard)
- Morley Little Alligator (volume pedal)
- Hardwire HT-2 (chromatic tuner)
- Genz Benz Shuttle footswitch (appropriate footswitch to go with my amp head - Genz Benz Shuttle 12.0).

Just need a power supply and I'm thinking of adding a compressor pedal of some sorts to it. It's been a rather expensive afternoon so far! If only there was a wireless function for the footswitch but it seems it runs on the phantom power generated by the amp head itself.

Can anyone recommend a relatively affordable power supply for all of this, please? :)

Power supply-wise it really depends on how much you want to spend.

The main things to consider are how many pedals you're going to run and the amount of current draw they have.

More expensive power supplies, like the voodoo lab PP2 have isolated grounds for each of the outputs, which some people will want.

Also considering you've bought a pedatrain, would you want to mount the power supply underneath it?

If it's only a couple of pedals and they don't draw too much current, and you're not bothered about mounting the supply underneath your board, then something like the one-spot power supply with a daisy-chain will do it, nice and cheaply.

Personally, I got the voodoo lab PP2, because I had a Pedaltrain JR, wanted to mount underneath, and wanted a power supply which you just plugged a kettle lead into, plus it also has the isolated grounds, and it always works 100% silently. It's not cheap though, but can be got s/h for around £100-ish.

I'm sure a few other folks will be along shortly with more options for you.

I've got one of these kicking around that you'd be welcome to if it would be any good to you and you cover the postage. PM me if you want it :).

...and so it begins.

A massive thanks to Painy for sending me the power supply (and accompanying cables that I completely forgot about). I'm truly grateful for the kindness of the people here and I'll be sure to repay it back.
