Very versatile bass, punchy and articulate, with twin humbuckers (alnico) and active 3 band EQ giving lots of possibilities. Ash body, maple neck with rosewood fretboard, 35 inch scale, 24 frets, gold plated tuners. Translucent amber with matching headstock. 18mm string spacing which is pretty good for a 6 string - wide neck (it has two truss rods!) Range of just over 4 octaves. Plays great.

These TRB basses were made in Japan - this being the mkII version which features a much cleaner and improved preamp (I know, I also own a first series 5 string!) Dates from the very late 90's/turn of the millennium. The condition is excellent with no major dings, cracks or buckle rash. Some minor marks and player wear are to be expected, but it has not been heavily gigged and it's been well cared for. Happy to supply extra photos or answer any questions.

Full spec from Yamaha website:

Strung with a new set of EB Slinkys for the sale, set up and ready to go. Gig bag included.

Sorry, no trades as I need the cash for a new bass I have on order.

I really don't want to post this bass if it can be avoided - would prefer to meet in person if possible - but if it must be posted it'll be at actual cost to the buyer, and only within the UK.

Great grain on this one...

Yes the grain is nice - and the finish is in good condition. They did a lovely range of translucent finishes with these original TRB basses. I've seen a few others sell online and they're all great looking instruments.
