Probably the best bang for buck on Basschat at the moment!

J&D Jack & Danny 70s J Bass c/w Gear4Music padded gigbag!

I bought this bass two and half years ago from a Basschatter to use as a rehearsal room instrument so I could leave it there and go to rehearsals on my bike. We no longer have a permanent rehearsal room so this is now redundant and needs a new home. I'm also thinning the herd. It's absolutely bangin' for the bucks and punches well above its weight, which is 8.8lb. It sounds exactly like a good Jazz should.

It has one small chip on the back and a few scratches but this is a very sorted instrument.

This has been modified to enhance what is a pretty good instrument off the shelf.

Mods are:

Full copper shielding and earthing job.

KiOgon wiring loom - a high quality wiring loom with screw terminals of solderless change of pickups. Improves the sound over stock installation.

A Gotoh-alike high mass bridge improves the sustain over the original.

Proper set-up and fret job so the action is low-medium and it plays really nicely with no buzz. Intonation done with a strobe tuner so it's spot on. The aftermarket bridge helps no end.

Chrome knobs fitted

Replacement Kent Armstrong Bridge Pickup fitted (8.2k), bridge pickup is original J&D (7.7k).

Strap buttons are replacements to help it stay on the strap better.
Collection from Gloucester or if you're in London and message me today, I can make it collect from Canary Wharf this week.

No postage/shipping as I do not have any suitable packing material.

I've heard nothing but good reports on these J&D Jazz basses
I've been tempted by the surf green model in the past myself
... but those are cracking mods, and for a hundred quid - someone's got an absolute bargain!

Love the black blocks & binding on those J&D necks too :)
