Bought new in 2013 but little used. Note the Hofner 'staple' pickups (high output these ones) and 60s styling.

I can supply this with a reasonable gigbag.

Edit: I should have mentioned that this is a shortscale.

£250 ono plus P&P as required. I'm in Harrow and I work in the West End.

Don't be daft - that's a pre-CBS ironing board made of tonewood and using mustard-yellow Mullard AX7s. I'd have to be crazy to part with it.

LOL :)

Hmmm, nice looking bass - unusual and interesting design.
Looks rather more substantial than the Hoffner Shorty, somehow....
What's the output from those 2 pickups like? Is it 30" scale?

Output is really very high - those staple pickups were always pretty variable, and these seem to be at the upper end of the scale.

Speaking of scale, it's exactly 30" (rather than the 30.5" used by Hofner) which seems to make it even thumpier.

Hi Jack,

How heavy is it, please?
[/quote]

Haven't weighed it, but it can't be much over 5lbs (or if you prefer metric roughly 2.273 hectares).

Given my own obsession with other people giving the weight in their adverts, this is all a bit embarrassing. I'll weigh it properly when I get home.

I know you mentioned it was short scale - but I'd seen these online elsewhere recently, and the info on scale seemed to vary - depending on seller ,or their tape measure, maybe? lol

Yes, several of us had realised your obsession re the weight of basses, and had also realised you had left this critical factor out of your description! So we're just harassing you now.... and we'll never let you forget this oversight Happy Jack ;) lol
