Jazz Bass - bring back the 3 knob controls

So, I have recently acquired a Squier JV Jazz Bass. All original apart from the control plate knobs (and pots).

There are 3 knobs:
1. Master Volume
2. Pick up selector (3 way switched)
3. Volume control (3 way switched)

Now, as much as interesting this is, I want a normal 3 knob (vol/vol/tone) control plate. What do I need to get? I have my soldering iron ready. What pots are the best? I have never done anything like that before - any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you! I have tried to find something like that but apparently not hard enough ;-)

KiOgon made a master vol, pickup blend, tone for my Jazz. It's a variation on the normal vol, vol, tone which is quite useful.

 • 4 weeks later...

I wired one up with some pots and caps I had lying around for my Maya Jazz. I'm not great at soldering but managed to knock it out in about an hour. Everything ordered off ebay but if someone on here can get you something cheaper then even better!
