Late to the party; obscure bands you missed when they were around

...but have since discovered. I stumbled across these 90s Southern rockers with their Lynyrd Skynyrd / Black Crowes vibe this weekend. I was completely oblivious to them at the time despite being into the likes of Cry of Love at the time this would have come out. How'd I miss this?

The singer is apparently now in Black Star Riders and I saw them live a few years back / have their albums without realising his past / the connection.

Who'd you miss at the time, only to then get into at a later stage?

I missed out on Hanoi Rocks. Being firmly in the punk camp Hanoi didn`t reach me until a mate lent me Two Steps From The Move. This was after Razzle had died so until the reform in the early 2000s they were a band that I`d loved for nearly 20 years without ever seeing them. A tape of All Those Wasted Years was ever-present in my car in 1986.

Tony Joe White - he's written so many well known songs for so many famous artists.

Steamy Windows, Rainy Night In Georgia probably the more famous ones.

He has a fantastic deep voice and an incredible guitarist.
