Hope you all enjoy the picture, it's Antelope Canyon in Arizona, and a precious place for the Navajo. Though I'm sure the picture will also throw up some other great inspirations. :)

I've got a couple of sample libraries and instruments that would do a nice ambient track for this. :)
  • Main bass: Fender Standard Precision (MIM)
  • Other basses: Yamaha TRBX 504, Squier modified VM Jazz: KiOgon wiring loom and Entwistle JBXN pickups
  • MarkBass CMD 121P
  • Must... let... go: Ashdown 220 Touring 1x12 Combo with VS112 extension cab

Haven't found anytime yet this month to do anything, mixture of a heavy workload and my health issues. I'm away with work next week so it's not looking likely for me :(

I'm just adding finishing touches to mine. The photos really help with getting initial ideas moving, which is usually where I have the most trouble.

I have absolutely no idea how you manage to do your tunes to such quality in such a short time , incredible , and only cements my reason not to listen to them before I've done mine

I might take you up on that..! Once my ops and stuff are over (end of month or so, with any luck..?), I could lift the curtain on the days and nights of a retired sedentary armchair ex-musician with time on his hands and a barrow-load of projects 'on the go' at any one time. Be afraid; be very afraid.

Here is mine:

https://soundcloud.c...-spriggs/strata

I'd definitely like to improve my production. I always suffer from hiss on my mic'd guitar tracks. I think this is probably from having my amp output quiet and sound interface gain relatively high.

Excellent; a fine representation of the picture. Hiss..? With my cloth ears and whistling tinnitus, I've no hope of suffering from that..! Sounds good to me (but then again, with what little hearing I have left, it'd have to be monstrous to trouble me..! ). Good work, well done.

Thanks! The 'reverse engineering' was a 'fortunate accident' whereby I accidentally stood on the wrong foot switch whilst still recording.

Absolutely love it when that stuff happens, like jamming with the cosmos!

Great tune btw :)
